Our Latest Featured Unity Sand Ceremony Bride has a Blended Family
By Sharon Vaz | January 25, 2007
Our latest Unity Sand Ceremony Featured Bride is Erin Holder of New York. She and her fiance are getting married in Puerto Rico in a Beach Wedding style ceremony. The ceremony is going to be on April 28, 2007.
Both Erin and her fiance have daughters so it was very important to them to find a way to have a blended family wedding.
Erin found out about the Unity Sand Ceremony on the web when she was looking for ways to include her blended family in the service. She found that with the Unity Sand Ceremony she could really include the daughters in a Family Unity Ceremony.
With further research on the Net, Erin was able to find some special words that she is going to use for the Family Unity Ceremony. She has “tweaked it a little bit” and now “every word of it is going to be just how we feel and what’s really important to us’” like the blended family. We are going to ask Erin if we can publish the words to her vows on this site after her Unity Sand Ceremony is over.
Erin thinks that, as they are getting married on the beach, the Unity Sand Ceremony is most appropriate as “it won’t blow out like a candle would!
Sharon Vaz asked Erin if she had any advice for other brides. She said “the ceremony is the most important thing in your life. And I think you really need to do it exactly the way you want it to be done.”
That’s why her ceremony is going to be a beach wedding in Puerto Rico including the Unity Sand Ceremony and her blended family with a close family friend officiating. It will be a real Family Unity Ceremony where Erin and her fiance can really bond with their two daughters.
